Dubai, February 18th 2004, Aptec Gulf announces a groundbreaking result at the APC Annual Distributors Seminar. This year’s seminar was held in Nice, France between the 5th & 8th February 2004. Distributors from all over the Middle East were present as APC unveiled its plans for 2004 and revealed the new products being launched. Trainers from different APC offices were present to talk about the wide range of new products available to the market in 2004.
February 8th, the final day of the event, saw a Grand Gala Dinner immediately followed by an Awards Ceremony. Following another year of successful distribution of APC products, Aptec Gulf was awarded the prestigious “Best Distributor Award”. This was especially rewarding for Aptec Gulf, as they were presented with this honor for an unprecedented second consecutive year.

Philip Hughes, APC General Manager Middle East & Turkey comments, “Aptec Gulf earned their award as APC Middle East Distribution Partner of the year by achieving a phenomenal 68% Year on Year Growth during 2003. However, this performance alone would not have been enough to win the award on it's own. To help APC achieve our own Key Middle East Objectives we look beyond the short term revenue features of a partner and we look for long term business development practices.

In that area, Aptec worked solidly to increase the skill levels of their active reseller base, organizing training programs, and sales promotions that actually tied in with our own objectives of channel development. This investment in FUTURE development work, instead of the more usual "today" focus of the channel has resulted in a fantastic growth of demand for APC's award-winning DataCenter Systems based around our InfraStruXure Product Family. Aptec's success in this area made them one of the first generation of Fully Certified ISX partners in EMEA, placing them in pole position to help their reseller partners take advantage of a major new Business Opportunity.

We look forward to more channel development work with Aptec during 2004 as our Precision Air Conditioning for DataCenters and our Retail Product for Mobile Computing families are launched here in the Middle East.”
